I have been a wargamer since the early 80's.
I have painted miniature armies and gamed with them in many hard campaigns of the Napoleonic, War or American Independence, American Civil War, and a few others periods. I study all aspects of war and read a lot about the periods that interest me. I have a very modest library of the books that interest me the most, and that is war, and it is not always about stratagy. As I said I study all aspects of war. This includes the cruelity, hardship and personal experiences of both leaders and the men on the ground. And the triumph that goes with surviving war.
The Original Total War:Medieval was my first strategic computer game and I have the Original Total War:Rome. I have recently, as of March 2014, bought Shogun 2.
I have enjoyed both Medieval and Rome and I feel I will also enjoy Shogun 2. I am no pro at these games, I play typically at the easy level. But in both Medieval and Rome I have played some of the more difficult factions. I shock myself when I win with the Germans in Total War:Rome. I never seem to have any money when I play the Germans.
Born in 1951. Lived in Omaha, outskirts of Chicago, and since high school, right here in Milwaukee. I'm now retired and spend way to much time in front of my computer.
